Rivers & Rails is a brewery located in Thief River Falls, MN. The Beer Tenders key responsibility is centered on ensuring a great guest experience. They will also assist with day-to-day operations of the taproom while cultivating a positive work and customer environment. This role may also be asked to work private events as a dedicated server, and/or bus tables (clear garbage) to ensure a pleasant guest experience. The ideal candidate would have a passion for Minnesota/Craft beer, an energetic and positive attitude, and desire to deliver a world-class customer experience. Candidates must be professional, articulate, and hard-working with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties Include:
- Assist to ensure the taproom is clean and ready for daily operations and create a welcoming environment for our guests
- Engage with guests to make them feel welcomed and receiving excellent service
- Float between job responsibilities as needed/directed throughout the day
- Ensure ongoing cleaning tasks are being worked on in down-time
- Work with the Taproom Manager to find ways to continually innovate the customer experience and employee satisfaction
- Communicate item needs, maintenance and concerns with Manager
- Ability to accept direction and feedback
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Taproom Manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- US Work Authorization
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Availability requirements differ but will require evenings and weekends
- Demonstrate excellent service with an outgoing and inviting personality and ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to lift 55 pounds, move kegs, and be on your feet for long periods of time

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Minnesota Beers and Craft Beers
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Rivers & Rails is a brewery located in Thief River Falls, MN. The Assistant Brewer specializes in helping the Head Brewer in the beer making process. Even if the extent of their duties vary upon the beer they make or brew on a weekly basis, it usually includes helping the Head Brewer with selecting and processing beer ingredients, tasting samples, beer transferring, kegging, studying reviews and assessments, equipment up-keep, equipment cleaning and sanitation, draft operations, and helping with brewery improvements. The Assistant Brewer will also be expected to help with beer tending positions throughout their workweek.

Some of the key skills that a Craft Brewer should possess include:
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for beer making and developing new beers
- Some current knowledge of brewing skills
- Physically fit and able to lift weights 50-100 lbs.
- Personable and able to communicate well with customers
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Some mechanical knowledge and familiarity with brewing components
- Innovative, creative and motivated to create some new and delicious beers
